Sister Monson, sweetheart of our prophet passed away this week. Aunt LeAnne suggest that Mary make one of her beautiful handmade cards to send, from our family. Mary came up with the following to put into the card: "Each soul leaves a legacy of love... Each memory a bridge to comfort and connect one heart to another, forever."

No matter how dear the loss, it is such a great comfort to know that we will see and be with our family again. And I sing in my heart and soul... "Oh, sweet the joy this sentence gives: I Know That My Redeemer Lives".
The bottom half was composed by my sweetheart. Surely it represents Mary's sweet simple testimony. Mary loves her family and loves her Savior. CBP
Well, what a great beautiful, perfect, Spring day! Cinco de Mayo! . . . . Oops, I mean Brent's 64th Birthday! What a fun day was had by all! The REALreasonfor the big celebration on May 5th.
Family came over and we shared ribs for dinner before the big flaming blow-out. I had to tone it down a bit, so the Fire Marshall wouldn't close the joint down. We had his favorite cake and according to him, "The only REAL cake", Angel Food cake and topped it withe some ouooey, gooey icing (Divinity, White Mountain or sometimes it is called 7 minute icing). We also had ice cream in his other favorite flavor, Vanilla. BTW: there was some other chocolate mint icy, creamy, cold stuff too.
He was his Mother's Mothers Day present the year he was born and he
brings that beautiful "Spring" into our lives every day of the year.
He comes by his nickname
of Tiggernaturally, because as he says to me that he is "Basically LOVEABLE" And that is so true.
Happy, joyous and bouncy, bouncy, hardworking, and exuberant; that is Brent in a nutshell. Speaking of nutshells, yep, he is even a bit like a squirrel, or rather leaves food droppings when he eats, sometimes it's on the chair or maybe down the front of his shirt. It's just part of his glorious trademark!
He is the oldest kid I know! And that is a good thing, no maybe the best thing! He loves to sing and I love his energy and excitement when he does. In fact he always puts that HaPpYextra into all he does, whether it is riding his tractor, mowing the lawn, in his bib-overalls and straw hat, playing sports, walking Daisy in the very early morning or his favorite, playing with the Grandkidlets. He just adds somuch more into all of the lives, of the people he knows. And those are just a few of the reasons we all love him so! Happiest of Birthday Years to you, my dear, sweetheart!
because..... the big flame, lights off at 6:00 ’ish
Please
come any time you can.
He
would love to see you all.
When I get older losing my hair,
Many years from now,
Will you still be sending me a valentine
Birthday greetings bottle of wine?
If I'd been out till quarter to three
Would you lock the door,
Will you still need me, will you still feed me,
When I'm sixty-four? oo oo oo oo oo oo oo oooo
You'll be older too, (ah ah ah ah ah)
And if you say the word,
I could stay with you.
I could be handy mending a fuse
When your lights have gone.
You can knit a sweater by the fireside
Sunday mornings go for a ride.
Doing the garden, digging the weeds,
Who could ask for more?
Will you still need me, will you still feed me,
When I'm sixty-four?
Every summer we can rent a cottage
In the Isle of Wight, if it's not too dear
We shall scrimp and save
Grandchildren on your knee
Vera, Chuck, and Dave
Send me a postcard, drop me a line,
Stating point of view.
